yes, 12", but still not as big as i thought. small size overall, but works ok. im going to use it for my art supplies for a class i have. i think i will be able to hold everything i have, except (ironically) my 12" scale ruler.
UPDATE: been using this for my theatre class for the whole semester. works very nice, and i am able to pack everything in it. (except my ruler) what can i say? works great. i cant complain!
